I don't think it matters much who or what they are as long as they have the strong love and secondary traits that trickle from that passion that we all swoon over. After all what makes a man is what's in his heart. Hi Debra. Your books sound amazing and all the very best for it. The covers are absolutely yum-my! My favorite type of a hero would be the pirates. All that maleness is just so hottt!
Although i won't say no to a charming roguish Duke.
Tempting a Proper Lady
My favorite heroes are the aristocratic rakes who go through life with little care or thought to their misdeeds and who they effect. They are hard to tame but once their lives get turned upside down by the love and respect of a woman, they become the most caring of human beings. Thanks for the chance to win two of your Brides of Nevarton Chase series. Ok, I have always been a sucker for the heroes who save the damsel in distress.
I love cops, Undercover agents, Navy Seals, along with hunky vampires, brawny warriors, etc. They are all swoon worthy material! I am a sucker for cowboys they are my favorite hero because they are always hard workers and they really take care of their women. I kind of love all types of heros but the cowboy will get me every time.
Tempting a Proper Lady
I can't decide on one type of hero. Pat C. Strong independant Alpha males are defintely the ones I am most drawn to, they seem to capture my attention no matter what the story line is. Tell the Publisher! I'd like to read this book on Kindle Don't have a Kindle?

Priscilla used to be part of the aristocracy and now she is working for them. She is helping plan Annabelle's wedding to Raventhorpe and tonight is their engagement party.
Maybe if this event and the wedding itself is successful, maybe she will have a legitimate way to support herself. But the event is threatened by Samuel, Annabelle's original fiancee. He claims he didn't abandon her like everyone believes but that he was marooned on a deserted island by Raventhorpe. Cilla's future threatened by his sudden appearance probably wants him to go away. But what if he is telling the truth? Is there some way she can help him prove to the people that meant so much to him that he is still the same person he always was.

Especially their loss in faith of him probably hurts more then the broken betrothal between him and Annabelle. I found this to be a well interesting and entertaining Victorian era historical romance. It wasn't bad, but not too exciting either. A very bland romance with a dull pair It was good to keep me walking on the treadmill, but it could easily be put down. The sex was OK.
Just an OK read. I've read much worse! This book's wording just didn't have a Regency feel. Yes, I understand some of the characters were American but the dialogue sounded too modern for what the time period was to be. Just not one I could stay with to finish.
Format: Mass Market Paperback. This book had its moments, but they were few and far between. I don't know why so many authors are obsessed with mirrors. I really don't like those scenes. And then there was this thing with the hero: he was supposed to have so much experience with women, but I wonder when he managed to get all that experience?

First, he was engaged to Anabelle for a long time, then he was on an island for almost two years, and when he came back he was with the heroine. So where do all these other women fit in? I have no idea. Well, the story with the new fiance is not so bad, and I liked the way he slowly showed his true colors.
But all in all, this book simply lacked More chemistry between the heroes, perhaps. Samuel is determined to win back Annabelle before she marries a monster, and to do that he'll need the help of the only person who seems to be willing to listen to him - Annabelle's wedding planner. Priscilla Burke knows just how badly a poor marriage can damage a woman. After being disowned over her choice of husbands, then left with nothing but debts once she was widowed, Cilla wants to be dependent on no man.
That's why it's so important that Annabelle's wedding to the earl go off without a hitch - it will jump start Cilla's career as a wedding planner.
But when the dashing American captain arrives with tales that make out Annabelle's intended to be a monster, Cilla knows she cannot allow the young woman to make a possibly deadly mistake in choosing a husband. As Cilla works to uncover the truth, she's finds herself more and more drawn to Samuel. But love between a socially disgraced Englishwoman and a wealthy American captain could never be possible Love, desire, danger, and friendship fill the pages of the charming Tempting a Proper Lady.
Debra Mullins has created two protagonists that are incredibly easy to like because of their sensibility, maturity, and innate goodness. It was easy for me to become invested in Cilla and Samuel's story because they were both kindhearted people who deserved to find happiness with one another.
